10/03/2007 - BORRI UNVEILS B8000, COMPACT HIGH FEATURE UPS

Bibbiena, Arezzo, 10th March 2007. - BORRI Industrial Power Solutions, manufacturing company in power conversion field, unveiled Borri B8000, a unique double-conversion online 10-15-20 kVA uninterruptible power system (UPS).

B8000 features a slim and modern design, allowing however the highest power density and optimising the IT rooms. The new Power Factor Control (PFC) technology used in the IGBT rectifier is just one of many new features that come as standard with the B8000, delivering a strong input current harmonics reduction (THDi<4%) and power factor close to unit (0,99).

“Input harmonics active reduction by PFC enables a very optimal integration into the installation environment, without need of oversizing of e.g. the genset," said Eugenio Mascagni, product marketing manager in BORRI. “High efficiency, even within this middle power range, decreases considerably ownership costs. Moreover the design is based on light and interchangeable modules making maintenance operations of the field engineer easier. This latest Borri UPS product line, demonstrates to the world again our 75 years experience in the power protection field and it is the result of our ability to listen and respond to customer needs."

Besides B8000, extremely noiseless, can be configured in highly reliable and scalable parallel UPS systems and it relies on a run time that can be extended with external battery cabinets, with the option of a galvanically isolated output.

The UPS is available in two models, B8031 with three phase input and single phase output and B8033 totally threephase.

Among other features we highlight a LDC display user-friendly interface with mimic and a wide range of connectivity options which make management in different infrastructures easier.
