Kochi, India (July 2007) - Italian leading UPS manufacturing company Borri S.p.A. has tied up with Kerala-based Unitek Power systems to enter the Indian market.
“India is among the fastest growing economies in the world, with Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram, leading the IT wave in the country and there is a huge market for high quality UPS" said Franco Fabbri, Sales Manager in Borri.
“Indian market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 20 to 30 per cent," Fabbri added, “'as industries like automobile, engineering, construction, real estate, retail, shipping and IT, which had brought remarkable success to the India's economy, need high quality UPS’s'".

Borri S.p.A., which had a global presence, produces UPS units ranging from 10 kVA to 1,000 kVA, battery chargers, rectifiers, static inverters, static transfer switches, frequency inverters, voltage stabilizers and distribution panels.
John Zachariah, Unitek Managing Director noted “Our company will market all Borri products and provide after sales service in India. The agreement will be effective from 2008."
